She was born June 27, 1911, in Davie County to the late James Monroe and Tabithia Driver Seamon. Mrs. Hendrix was a member of North Main Street Church of Christ in Mocksville. She was a graduate of North Carolina Baptist Hospital School of Nursing and retired from Davie County Hospital after 28 years of service. Mrs. Hendrix enjoyed canning, sewing, quilting, gardening and flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, N. Paul Hendrix; two sisters, Fatie (Jim) Bowles and Bertie (Frank) Garwood; three brothers, Charlie (Lottie) Seamon, Clyde (Mary Jane) Seamon and Everette (Margaret) Seamon; and a grandson, Scott Stroud.
Survivors include a daughter, Yvonne (James) Stroud of Statesville; two grandchildren, Craig Stroud of East Bend and Cynthia (John) Murray of Huntingtown, Md.; two great-grandsons, John and Winston Murray of Huntingtown, Md.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Service: A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 16 at Eaton Funeral Chapel, with Mr. Claude Pharr officiating. Interment will follow in Jericho Church of Christ Cemetery.
