Mr. Billy Ray Sullivan, age 90, entered into rest on Saturday, January 29, 2022. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Bethel Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM in the sanctuary of Bethel Baptist Church.

Mr. Sullivan was born April 15, 1931 in Jefferson, SC a son of the late Cletus K. and Clara Demby Sullivan. He was an U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and the owner and operator of Sullivan's TV & Appliances for over 60 years. He was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church, where he served as former Deacon and Sunday school superintendent. Mr. Sullivan served on the board of directors for Sandhills Medical Foundation for two terms, and was a member of the Jefferson Town Council. An avid outdoorsman, Billy Ray enjoyed gardening and working with his tractor. He will be fondly remembered as a man who loved his family deeply and never met a stranger.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Sullivan was also preceded in death by his first wife, Emma Jean Sullivan; son, Timothy Sullivan; and sister, Agnes Deese.





Survivors include his wife, Jane Carriker; son, Michael (Elizabeth) Sullivan of Jefferson, SC; daughter, Charlene S. (Rev. Dan) Austin of Woodlawn, VA; grandchildren, Kelly A. (Scott) Haigler of Marshville, NC, Erin Austin of Woodlawn, VA, Jessica S. (Paul) Allen of Columbia, SC, and David (Melanie) Sullivan of Charlotte, NC; great grandchildren, Joshua Haigler, Ethan Haigler, Jesse Haigler, Eli Haigler, and Alyce Sullivan.
