"Nancy Catharine, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Sanders, was born in Richland County, ILL., March 11th, 1854.
In this county she grew to womanhood and was united in marriage to Robert A. Lamkin. Five daughters were given them as the fruit of this union, one babe preceding her to the better land.
She leaves to mourn her loss her husband and four daughters: Mrs. Jennie Baker, Mrs. Julia Keortge, Mrs. Stella Hudson and Miss Fannie Lamkin; also a host of friends who will miss her.
Her funeral was from the Lutheran church conducted by the Rev. C. H. Hamrick on June 20, when she was laid to rest in the little church cemetery on the hillside awaiting the resurrection morn.
Taken from the Olney Advocate."
