Eliza is the daughter of Lovell (ii) and Catherine (Howard) Coffman of Red River County TX. She was married on 18 November 1847 to Benjamin Medford Hancock. Both 1850 & 1860 Censuses for Red River County list her with children: Thomas (b1848); Martha (b1850); William (b1852); Melissa (b1856); Sarah (b1858). Ben (ii) was b1861, a few days before she died. He was raised by Hancock relatives.

Her Birth and Death dates are recorded in the Family Bible of Lovell Coffman.
