Timothy Grant Bandy, age 69, longtime Belleville area resident, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Veterans Hospital, Ann Arbor, MI. He was born June 29, 1952, in Japan and was adopted by Charles & Hanako Bandy. He had a passion for helping others and received his master's degree in social work. He specialized in helping foster families and helped many people in the downriver area at the Downriver Guidance Clinic over the years. He enjoyed watching television, especially old movies. He loved technology and talking on the internet and ordering on Amazon!
Mr. Bandy is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Kathlyn Arlene (Peters) Bandy, daughter Susan (Kevin) Frost of Belleville, MI, four grandchildren: Jacob (Alyssa) Treaster, Mariah (Ryan) Wyllys, Dalton Wyllys, and Vivian Frost, and Briar Frost is on-the-way; four great-grandchildren: Annabella Treaster, Jacob Treaster, Jr., Anastasia Treaster, and Zoe Perry; also, numerous extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, also a son, Timothy Paul Bandy.
Visitation will be from 11 am until 1 pm Wednesday, December 8, 2021, with a 1:00 PM Funeral at David C. Brown Funeral Home, 460 E. Huron River Dr., Belleville, MI 48111-2764 (734)697-4500. Pastor Gordon Moore will officiate. Interment will be in Alban Cemetery, Ypsilanti Township, MI.
