Leonard Henley and Mrs Elizabeth (Dandridge) Aylett were married on 31 Jan 1779, according to Elizabeth's family Bible that she kept so meticulously.

Son of Cornelius Turner Henley, according to a genealogy given in the Daily Press, Newport News, Virginia, 14 Dec 1969, p120. Mother was Mary Warburton. It goes on to give Leonard and Elizabeth's sons' names:
Captain Robert Henley, USN
Commodore John Dandridge Henley, whose descendant, Mrs Luce, wife of Admiral Luce, USN, was the author of the Mss-DAR.

NOTE TO DC MASON: You sent me a message with a question, but you have set your account to "not receive" messages. So, if you happen to be reading this . . . I have not refused to add his birth year and location (location was not submitted to me, by the way). I merely asked you for proof that I could verify. You mention "all records", so please feel free to send me a link or name for all those records, and I'll gladly look into it. I like to make sure that any memorials I manage pass along only information that can be verified. Just trying to keep it helpful. So, feel free to re-submit the edits, as I mentioned in a prior note to you, with proof sources. (Online family trees are not proof of anything, I'm afraid.) Looking forward to working with you. Mrs G.
