Born William Wilburn LUTHER he married twice. Wife #1 was VERBA KOHLER with her he had a son, WILLIAM WOODROW LUTHER we are not sure what happened in that relationship but he was gone, she remarried- died young and WILLIAM WOODROW went to live with his uncle in Boston, MA. Meanwhile, William Wilburn married wife #2 ELIZABETH Z. GLEASON they had no children and but she went on to marry after William and died found also. NEXT came our GRANDMA FLOY STRUNK who married WILLIAM WILBURN who went by that last name of DERENBERGER. Through DNA we have learned this is in fact the SAME person. WE do NOT know where the made up name came from. However, on the last 2 marriage certificates he put right lied about facts such as birthdates, previous marriages, his fathers last name … so he clearly wasn't on the up and up. While married to GRANDMA Floy, he had an affair (withholding name) he brought a baby back to Grandma swearing he was a changed man. Grandma took him back but he soon went back to his ways and off he went. THIS a time he left behind My husbands mom, WILBURNA, WILLIAM GENE, (yes another William, but with a different Middle name and LAST NAME) GERTRUDE, and LeROY (the baby from the affair) who she later adopted and of course now Grandma was pregnant with JUDY. AFTER he left he was never seen again. BUT…. In researching we found him and had DNA done which linked it all together and with social media I contacted the grand daughter of the woman he had the affair with. She was able to help but we both soon realized there was a issue with the baby that was brought to GRANDMA. Why wasn't the mother with the baby? Why more importantly did LEROY look like the grand daughters FATHER? So, this new social media woman took a DNA and YES her GRANDFATHER turned out to be WILLIAM WILBURN LUTHER aka DERENBERGER! Making her and my husband 1st cousins. After Burl Luther died, WILLIAM WILBURN LUTHER dropped the name DERENBERGER and moved back to OHIO. Here he never made contact with any of his children or with FLOY, his wife under the name of DERENBERGER. He did have a last wife COMMONLAW was common and legal in Ohio her name was IDA COLVIN.

Gravesite Details
There is NO Stone we verified the burial with the caretaker. he is buried to the Right of Emmett Luther, who died in Guam and whose body was not recovered. Please see bio.
