Clara Jean Obanion passed away January 26, 2022 at the age of 72.

Jean was born May 6, 1949 to the late Artist Jean (Ward) and Albert Newton Fansler in Alameda, California. She spent most of her life in the Carthage area where she worked as a CNA in a local nursing home before taking a position as a waitress at the Pancake Hut Diner.

Jean is remembered by her 4 children. Daughters, Melinda Summers (Mike) Carthage, MO., Melissa Reid, Grand Prairie Texas, Misty Dawn Young, Joplin, Mo. and her son , Kenneth Sullivan Jr. (Jolene) of Carthage, MO. Her sisters, Debbie Tracy and Diane Robertson of Colorado and Sharon Cole of Carthage . 7 grand children and 17 great children. As well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Ricky Millard, Brothers Mike and Alfred Fansler and her husband Ed O'Banion.

Services will be held Saturday, February 5th 2022 at 10:00 a.m. under the direction of pastor Jerry Davis at the Faith Life Worship Center 736 East Fairview Carthage, MO. 64836.
