Joseph Brehm, of Oberlin, aged seventy-three years, was seized with an attack of heart failure, while husking corn in the fields of the R. L. Detweiler farm, near Oberlin, yesterday morning just before 7 o'clock. He fell among the corn stubbles and was immediately carried to his home nearby. Several physicians were summoned by men who saw the aged man fall, but he died before they arrived.
Mr. Brehm had lived near Oberlin nearly all his life and on Saturday had been the center of a gay party, when three generations of his family were gathered at his home in reunion. He is survived by his widow, three brothers, a sister, and these children: Prof. J. J. Brehm, one of the Harrisburg school supervisors; Mrs. G. A. Martz, of this city; Levan H., of New Kingston; Samuel A., of Steelton Heights; Mrs. Leroy Mumma, of Highspire; Edward, Theodore P., Mrs. William Landis and Mrs. W. L. Eshenour, all of Oberlin.
The funeral services will be held to-morrow afternoon at 4.15 o'clock and interment will be made in the Oberlin cemetery.
