Until her retirement, she had worked as a janitor at Fairfield Community High School for over 30 years.
Joan was born on July 10, 1938, in Mt. Erie, IL, to Charles and Elizabeth (McCormick) Rogers.
Survivors include three sons Wade (Lisa) Moore of Rinard, Eric Moore of Geff, and Gale (Alicia) Moore of Fairfield, one daughter Michele (Ivan) Dozier of Ivesdale, IL, eight grandchildren Jesse, Felicia, Katrena, and Aaron Moore, Alex and Wyatt Dozier, and Nicole and Natalie Bullard, fourteen great grandchildren, one sister Mildred Borah of Wooster, OH, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jesse Moore, two sons Keith and Kevin Moore, one daughter Karen Moore, three grandchildren Harlan Wade Dozier, Zane Avram Dozier, and Narissa Bullard, two brothers Jack and Elmo Rogers, and four sisters Imogene Wood, Iola Cave, Ilene Rocket, and Ellen Upton.
Per the family's request, Joan's body has been cremated with no formal services at this time. Burial will be in Koontz Cemetery at a later date. The Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
