Born in Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Price and Etta Washington Day Price. She was the widow of Charles Hamlin Hancock.
She was a member of Oxford Presbyterian Church and a long time Revlon employee.
A graveside memorial service will be held Monday, January 31, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery (Oxford), conducted by the Rev. Norman Talley.
Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Hancock Dickerson; two sons, Rickie Allen Hancock (Lisa) and Mike Hancock; five grandchildren, Brooke Hancock Chadwick, Amanda Hancock Whaley (Logan), Michael Hancock, Bryson Dickerson, Zachary Dickerson; five great grandchildren, Clay Chadwick, Chloe Chadwick, Cayden Chadwick, Leah Whaley and Adalynn Whaley; three sisters, Wilma Elliott, Ernestine Chambers and Cathy Taylor; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Helen Poole, Charlotte Dickerson, Annette Price and Brenda Price; and two brothers, Bernard Price and Elbert Price.
The family will receive friends at the home.
