He was preceded in death by his father, David Smith; wife of almost 19 years, Nadine; and sister, Wanda Butler. Surviving are his mother, Mattie Smith; daughter, Deri Parham; sons, William White III, Jarrod Alves, Terrell Alves, and Dominick Alves; grandchildren; Tadiq Parham, Javante Dodson, Tayden White- Morales, Jaiden, Jailece, Julius, Janyea, Jaxxon, Zaire, Jemeriah and Julian Alves; sisters, Deborah Lovings (husband, Kevin Lovings), Donna Smith, Andrea Smith (husband, Harold Nichols, deceased), Darryl Butler; and brothers, David Powers and Andre Williams; and brother-in-law, Darryl Butler.
