Death of Former Napaite
News comes of the death of Mrs. Catherine Eastland until two years ago a resident of Napa, but her home since then being in Riverside, Cal., where her demise occurred on Saturday, February 8th.
Mrs. Eastland was born in Indiana, 73 years ago, and came to Napa at the age of 5 years, when there were only four houses in the town.
Eight children are Ieft—Mrs. M. Brennan of Healdsburg, Mrs. Lew Howard of Suisun, Mrs. Charles Roth of Napa, Mrs. L. Jackson of Winters, Mrs. Mary True of Colusa, Orren, Lew and George of Anaheim; also four sisters and two brothers in Pope valley of this county,
Interment will be in Riverside cemetery.
