Alexander Hamilton Winebrenner was in Company B of the 13th West Virginia Volunteer Infantry.
He was 24 years old when he enlisted on October 8, 1862.
After serving during the Civil War, Alexander married Isabella Bowles on April 10, 1868 in Mason County, West Virginia.
Alexander and Isabella farmed and raised four sons and four daughters. They moved to Meigs County, Ohio and continued farming.
Isabella died in 1917 and Alexander died in 1922.
