John was born to Amon and Fern Krieger on February 4, 1940, at Hastings where he grew up. After graduating from Hastings High School John enlisted into the U.S. Army and lived in California. He cooked in the army and when he got out he became a chef. John lived in Orange County and worked in upscale restaurants where he met lots of famous people.
John was married and later divorced. He moved to North Platte in 2012 to be around family. John enjoyed playing Keno and loved cooking for his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Amon and Fern; brother, James Krieger; and sister, Marilyn Bauld.
John is survived by his children, Danny, David and Deb; brother, Leslie Krieger, of Hastings; sisters, Carolyn (Dave) Wengler and Marge Caudillo, of North Platte and Sharon Morganflash, of Hastings; seven grandchildren; and other family.
