Lenora Mae "Loni" Altman, age 94, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 14, 2022. Lonnie was born in China to her missionary parents, and was a charter member of Carter Memorial Seventh-day Adventist Church, where she played piano and organ. She also played the piano at Rappahannock Baptist Church and on occasion at Beulah Baptist Church.
Loni is survived by her son, Daniel Altman (Susan) of Henrico; two daughters, Linda Dee Baker (Skip) of Foneswood, and Susie Fritts (Jim) of Horse Shoe, NC; four grandchildren, Dee Elizabeth, Roger, Amanda Jo, and Tony; three great-grandchildren, Ian, Matt, and Steven; and two great-great grandchildren, Sarena and Emme. She was preceded in death by her husband Pete Altman, and her parents, Cameron A. Carter and Mabel Bowen Carter.
A memorial service will be held at Carter Memorial Church in Foneswood on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 2:00 pm.
