Shenandoah Herald - June 11, 1879
Died, near Mt. Calvary church, on the 7th inst., Mrs. Sarah Catharine Sheetz, wife of the late Philip Sheetz, in the 78th year of her age.
Mrs. Sheetz was worthy and consistent member of the Reformed church for about sixty years. She was truly a good woman, a friend to Walland an enemy to none. Her meek humble quiet and amiable deportment endeared her to all who knew her. She was afflicted for several years with a very painful disease, yet she bore her severe suffering meekly and patiently, looking forward with strong expectation and desire for the hour when her "earthly house of this tabernacle" would be dissolved, so that she might have "a building of God, a house not made with hands eternal in the heavens."
