HARTFORD CITY – David "Dave" Allen Mock-Drill, 75, passed away at 1 p.m Monday, May 11, 2020 at Bridgewater Centre.
He was born in Portland on September 25, 1944 to Leonard Allen Drill and Chella E. (Reichart) Drill. Both of his parents precede him in death.
Dave graduated from Portland High School in 1962. He married Linda Lou (Zimmerman) on January 24, 1976 at the Mennonite Church in Upland by Rev. Jim Mattus. She passed away on June 2, 2009.
He retired from 3-M Company in 2003 after 40 years of service. He was a member of AMVETS Sad Sack Post #12 and attended Bethel Center Church of the Brethren.
Dave enjoyed watching TV. He also collected coins and played cards and Dominos. He and Linda had enjoyed line dancing, camping and traveling. He loved to talk and tell stories, his own smile apparent as he made others laugh.
He will be sadly missed by his son, Brad Allen (wife, Vilmar) Drill of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Sophia Drill, Brighton Drill and Lewis Drill.
He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Bud Drill and Margaret Small.
Dave's wishes were to be cremated and a private graveside burial of cremains will be at a later date at Hartford City Cemetery.
