A.A. Behringer, Jr. was born June 6, 1932, in Snyder, Texas to Adolph A. & Euna (Ewing Graham) Behringer. He graduated in 1950 from Snyder High School.

After dating only three months, he married Connie Chitwood on April 11,1953 in Arkansas. He was stationed at Ft Leonard Wood, Missouri in the Army and left a month later to serve in Germany & France during the Korean War. They had many adventures throughout their 63 years of marriage.

Jr. is remembered as being "larger than life". At 6'5" he had a colorful and powerful personality, always ready to entertain everyone in the room with a story, poem, or joke about any situation. He excelled at whatever he chose to do – Oilfield work, Truck driver, Building Contractor, Building Inspector, Business Owner (Behr Barn); as well as his hobbies- Rodeoing, Team Roping, Square Dance Calling & Auctioneering.

Jr. Made a Profession of Faith at Community Baptist Church, under Bro. Larry Gilliam. He was baptized at Shiloh Baptist Church at Ocee. He enjoyed studying the Bible and Listening/Singing to Gospel Music at the many churches he and Connie attended, including the J Bar J Cowboy Church in Ruidoso, NM.

At 89 yrs. old, Jr. preceded in death by many family members, including his wife Connie, in 2016.

He is survived by children: Tom & Donna Reed and Cindy Vannatta; his grandchildren: Tommy & Mandy Vannatta, Travis & Audrae Vannatta, Zach & Lacy Rogers, Trey & Delani Vannatta; by his great-grandchildren: Easton Vannatta, Ayden Rogers, Cason Vannatta, Anna Vannatta, Bowen Vannatta, Ezra Rogers, Ava Vannatta, and a new granddaughter due in March and by his dear sister-in-law, LaDon Matthews of Lamesa, Texas, niece & nephew Terry & Pat Matthews, and many special cousins.
The family would like to thank Dr. Mahal of Lubbock Urology, for the years of loving kindness he provided to Dad. Also heartfelt thanks to everyone at the Lincoln County Presbyterian Medical Center for their professionalism and kindness during Dad's last week.
