Yorktown, VA. – Geraldine Claiborne Nicholas Moore (81) passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022. She was born in Bell Hospital, raised in Williamsburg, attended Matthew Whaley School and James Blair, graduating in 1958. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virginia (Weber) and Frank Temple Claiborne as well as three husbands; her high school sweetheart, Captain Denis Nicholas KIA in Vietnam in 1967-5 yrs, Thomas Cogle of Shetland, Scotland-15 yrs. and Fay S. Moore of Seaford-30 yrs.

Gerry kept friendships for life. She corresponded with friends and family around the world thru her treasured hand written letters. Gerry loved flowers, birds, sewing, crafts, baking, poking in thrift stores and traveling and was always generous with her time and talents. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and the Seaford Woman's Club. Gerry spent the last years of her life living with her cherished and dedicated daughter and grandsons in York County.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 29 at 2:00 at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Williamsburg. Arrangements by Amory Funeral Home.
