Obituary for Trinity Corryn Batts
Trinity Corryn Batts was born on March 9th, 2003 in Snellville, Gwinnett County, Georgia. She passed away peacefully at age 18 on January 16th, 2022, at the University of Michigan's C.S. Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Trinity was a kind and gentle spirit who positively impacted everyone around her. She is widely known for her incredible humor and creativity by many. In her early childhood, she attended Starling Elementary School in Georgia before moving to Michigan in 2014 with her younger brother Orrin. Once arriving in Ann Arbor, she attended Greenhills School for her middle and high school experiences. At Greenhills, Trinity loved her English classes - finding a unique passion for creative writing and storytelling. Additionally, at Greenhills, Trinity was heavily involved with the volleyball, softball, and basketball teams.

During the summers, Trinity, along with her cousins, would love to attend the YMCA Camp Al-Gon-Quian. Trinity also thoroughly enjoyed traveling, some of her favorite trips included going to Hawaii, Mexico, China, and the Caribbean - she was a big fan of the beach. In addition to this, Trinity was a huge foodie! Sushi and pizza were some of her favorites. In the spring of her 11th grade year, Trinity was diagnosed with osteosarcoma - a common form of bone cancer. She showed incredible resilience as she persevered through her chemotherapy journey while still participating in her school activities and college application process in her senior year. Trinity was accepted to many universities including her mother's alma mater, Spelman College. As a proud member of the Greenhills Class of 2021 Trinity planned to attend Denison University in Granville, Ohio after graduating with a full-ride merit-based scholarship.

Trinity is predeceased by her mother, Donna Marie Batts (2014); her father, Orrin Keith Batts (2013); and her maternal grandmother, Denise J. Millette (2021). Trinity continues to be the light of many of our lives and is greatly missed by family and friends.

The family kindly requests guests to wear face masks while in attendance for the services.
