Mr. J. Dweese ''J.D.'' Cheek Sr., 95, of Augusta, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000, at his residence.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mark United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Gillespie and Dr. Rodger Murchison officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Cheek, a native of Augusta, had retired as an insurance executive. He was a member of Exchange Club of Augusta for 64 years. He was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, where he was a member of French Bible Class.
Survivors include three sons, Joseph D. Cheek Jr., James E. Cheek and John W. Cheek, all of Augusta; a brother, Ernest W. Cheek, Monroe; and six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
