The funeral of Mrs. Virginia Gulledge, 80, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. E. Young, 711 Calypso street, Monroe, was held at the Start Baptist Church Sunday at 3 o'clock, the funeral cortege leaving the residence here at 2 p.m. Rev. L. T. Hastings, Monroe, pastor, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. C. S. Wroten and Rev. H. G. Hammonds. Burial was in New Salem cemetery, Girard. The Mulhearn Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers were the grandsons of Mrs. Gulledge. She was a member of the Baptist church and formerly was affiliated with the O.E.S.

Surviving are the following daughters: Mrs. Young, Mrs. Alma Graham, Mobile, Ala., Mrs. Clara Griffs, Camden, Ark., Mrs. Ethel Kennedy, Start, Mrs. Addie Alsbrooks, Start, Mrs. Ida Halley, Start, and Mrs. Minnie Jordan, Vivian.
