On the 19th inst., at Wellwood, near Ryde, Isle of Wight, in his 74th year [age 73], Archibald Hamilton Tattnall, late Captain, 92nd Gordon Highlanders and Lieutenant-Colonel 2nd Royal Lanark Militia. The funeral took place at the Binstead Cemetery, near Ryde, according to the deceased's wishes carried out in a simple style, the procession being a walking one, with over 100 inhabitants and tradesmen following and present at the cemetery.
