Funeral Services for James Henry Whitaker, Sr., 93 year old retired carpenter are Thursday Nov. 30, 1978. James Henry passed away on Nov. 27, 1978 at Colonial Manor here. Atoka Funeral Home and Rev. Dennis Garner will be in charge at Tushka Baptist Church. Interment will be in Tushka cemetery. Mr. Whitaker was born March 18, 1886 at Bells, Tx., the son of Phelix and Phoebe Harris Whitaker. He was married May 18, 1907, to Nellie Melvin at Paris, Tx. Survivors include four daughters; Eutha Sutherland of Denison; Ethel Rogers of Ada and Verna Roy and Jewell Crump, both of Fort Worth; three sons; Harvey and James of Tushka and Earl of Dallas; 19 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
