Betty Ann Sechrist, daughter of Mr and Mrs Wayne Sechrist and Merle Delor Bammel, son of Mr and Mrs Justin Bammel, were married July 30 at St Dominic's Catholic church. Bremen. The ceremony was performed by Rev Charles E Doyle, of Gary, a former Nappanee boy and childhood friend of the groom.
Rev Doyle was ordained a priest May 1. Rev Michael Vichuras assisted.
The bride wore a ballerina gown of net and lace over satin and a fingertip veil with a sequin and seed pearl crown. She carried a white Bible and shower bouquet of white roses.
Her sister Mrs Martel Jennings, attended her, wearing pink and carrying pale blue carnations The groom's brother, Justin .Bammel, Jr, was best man and another brother, Mark, ushered.
There was a family wedding breakfast at the groom's home after the ceremony and a reception Sunday in the home of the bride.
The couple expect to leave about Aug. 8 for Hayward, Calif., where they will live while the groom is stationed at Parks air force base.
