She was born in South Easthope Township Perth County on November 23, 1931 a daughter of the late Ezra and Lena (Stere) Bast.
She was a member of Cassel Mennonite Church.
Audrey married Gordon Steinman on October 7, 1950. He predeceased her on November 8, 2006. She is survived by three children, Rodney and wife Thelma Steinman of Brussels; Donna and husband Roy Callahan of Virginia, USA; Bradley and wife Darlene Steinman of Clinton; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; sisters, Laurene Zehr, Mary Ellen Ruby, Phyllis Lichti, Sharon and husband Donald Gingerich; sisters-in-law, Patricia Bast and Marnie Steinman.
Audrey was predeceased by her brother, Glen Bast; brothers-in-law, Edward Zehr, John "Jack" Ruby; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wilfred and Vivian Steinman, Neil and Esther Steinman, Floyd and Catherine Steinman.
Relatives and friends were received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Sunday January 16, 2022 from 2 – 4 p.m. A service and burial in East Zorra Mennonite Cemetery, 16th Line will be held in the spring.
