YORK Jean Greer Ziegler, 87, died at 8:05 a.m. Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at Manor Care Health Services-South. She was the wife of Walter B. Ziegler. Born August 29, 1920, in York, she was the daughter of the late Frank G. and Ruth (Landis) Greer. Mrs. Ziegler was a registered nurse and retired in 1975 after a 25 year career as a certified school nurse with the Eastern York School District. She began her nursing career with the late Dr. John D. Yeagley. She graduated from West York High School in 1938 and was 1947 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. She was a volunteer at the York Hospital and served four years as a member of the Advisory Council of the York County Agency on Aging. Following cremation private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Prospect Hill Cemetery.
