Obituary:
Lisa Elizabeth Ijames, 44, of 142 Colonial Ridge Circle, Apartment 15, Mooresville, passed away at John Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland, on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, following an extended illness. She was born on October 24, 1972, and was the daughter of Lillian Mae Johnson Ijames and the late William Braxton Ijames. She was married to Robert Jefferson "Jeff" Lovell, who survives. She was preceded in death by a sister, Evangelist Linda Everhart and a brother, Kim Braxton Ijames.
She attended Statesville High School and was employed at one time by Dudley Home Care as a CNA. She completed Medical Billing and Coding from Rowan Community College. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She leaves to cherish the memory of her life in addition to her husband, Jeff Lovell and her mother, Lilian Mae Johnson Ijames; one son, Anthony Braxton Angle of the home; four daughters, Katnita Angle of Mooresville, Kanisha Angle of Salisbury and Kareema Angle of Cleveland, Diamond Lovell of Salisbury; a step daughter, Diamond Shaziah Lovell of Salisbury; three brothers, Cleon (Aldi) Ijames of Florida, Erick Ijames of Phillappines, and Michael Privette of Statesville; five sisters, Gretta (John) Angle of Cleveland, Jennifer Privette of Woodleaf, Michelle (Joseph) Privette of Salisbury and Thomisha Ijames Tucker of Mitchellville, Maryland and Pamela L. Taylor of Baltimore, Maryland; four grandchildren; Abe'breon Allen, Ameirah Angle, Kiersty Oakman and Kaleah Black; godchildren, Tyravia Angle of Salisbury, Zynoria Winford of Salisbury, Michael Nelson, Jr. of Winston Salem and Ariana Lutz of Salisbury; special cousins, Terry Imames, Patricia Ijames; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Miracle Tabernacle. Pastor Lonnie Harper will officiate and Dr. Gretta Angle will eulogize. Burial will follow at the Palmetta Cemetery in Mocksville, NC.
Lisa will remain at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home until taken to the church to lie in state at 12:30 p.m. Members of the family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., but will assemble at the residence at other times.
