Survivors include two daughters, Carla Aucoin Adkisson Hoffkins and her husband, Richard Hoffkins of Lafayette and Kimberly Aucoin Trahan and her husband, Douglas Trahan of Lafayette; one son, Keith Thomas Aucoin and his wife, Carrie McDonald Aucoin of Lafayette; 10 grandchildren, Samantha Adkisson, John Prince, Tatjana Aucoin Gambordella, Alex Prince, Ian Trahan, Katarina Adkisson Ochoa, Falon Trahan, Leah Aucoin, Hannah Aucoin, and Faith Trahan; five great grandchildren, Warren Prince, Elliana Gambordella, Henrick Prince, Royce Prince and Jack Prince and one sister, Laura Bourgeois of Lake Charles.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Thelma Suzanne Melancon Aucoin; parents, Isidore A. Aucoin, Sr. and Aurelie Aucoin; one son, Kevyn Aucoin; one sister, Marguerite Hanes; two brothers, Daniel Aucoin and Larry Aucoin.
Isidore was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to all. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Korean Conflict. Isidore worked for Bellsouth for 42 years making sure the phone system never went down during hurricanes. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Adkisson, Keith Aucoin, Doug Trahan, Damon Broussard, Jacob Gambordella, and Bryan LeBlanc.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Hoffkins.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN location on Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. and will continue on Saturday from 8:30 A.M. until time of services.
