Maudine Love

Funeral services Maudine Miller Love, age 87, of Pickton are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 11, 2010, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Dale Ruggles and Rev. Homer Stewart Hawthorne will officiate.

Interment will follow services in the Caney Cemetery, with Jimmy Ashmore, Ashley Ashmore, Mike Odell, Ricky Allen, Taylor Pickering, and Brandon Edwards serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Edwards, A.L. Brown, Ed Arnold and Mike Ezell.

Maudine Love passed away Monday, September 7, 2010 at her residence. She was born on October 20, 1922 in Hopkins County the daughter of Charles Quantril Braden and Zola (Allen) Braden. She married Earl Miller on October 29, 1938. He preceded her in death in July, 1980. She married Andrew Love on June 30, 2001; he survives. She was a member of Pickton Rodeo Association, and the Rodeo mom to many of Pickton's children. Maudine was a member of the Caney Baptist Church in Pickton.

Other survivors include: two sons, Donnie Miller and wife, Diana, of Pickton and Eugene Braden of Como; one stepson, Jo Allen Love and wife, Janet, of California; two daughters, Sue Monk and husband, Keith, of Pickton, Judy Jetton and husband, Olliver, of Pickton; sister, Mary Jo Anderson of Houston; brother, Jo Bob Braden of Plano; six grandchildren, Khristie Lohr, Obie Miller, J.D. Miller, Eddie Arnold, Wade Arnold, Kiah Sue Miller, and Michael Minick; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bobby Earl Miller; brothers, Felix, Fred, Stanford, and George Braden; and sisters, Opal Ashmore, and Merlene Sprague.

Memorials may be made to the Caney Baptist Church or Caney Cemetery of Pickton.

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
