Mrs. Barbara Lee Costello (Nee: Hees), age 83, of Cedar Lake, Indiana, formerly of Chicago Heights, died peacefully in her home Saturday, January 8, 2022 surrounded in love.

Barb was born June 22, 1938 in Defiance, Ohio, the daughter of Willard and Doris (Nee:Roehrig) Hees. Protective sister to Brenda(Grube), two additional sisters and 1 brother.
Barb was the devoted wife of Richard Robert Costello, Sr. for 58 wonderful years. Her greatest title was that of loving mother to four children. Doting grandmother to 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Barb worked in Food Service at Olympia Fields, St. James Hospital for 12 years and at the famous Dairy Queen in Chicago Heights for 19 years.

After retiring, Barb enjoyed camping, cooking, fishing crocheting, needlework, bingo, being a full-time grandma, sharing millions of laughs with her captivating Club Girls since 1962 and always rooting for her beloved Chicago Bears.

Those that knew Barb will never forget her contagious smile, laugh, selflessness, giving nature, kind heart, friendship, concern for others and especially her cooking.
