Scott Skipper, 51, died on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Gallup, New Mexico where he was working. He was born as Aaron Scott Skipper on March 2, 1970 at Garden City the son of Susan (Grauberger) Skipper Johnston and Eddie Skipper.

Scott graduated from Stanton County High School in Johnson in 1988. After his schooling he joined the U.S. Army from 1989 to 1990 where he was trained as a Helicopter Mechanic. After his discharge he attended Colorado Aero Tech in Broomfield, Colorado from 1991 to 1993. He worked as a contract mechanic in the helicopter and airplane industry in several states.

After joining the Seventh Day Adventist Church he became involved with mission support work providing services for helicopter and airplane repairs which took him to various regions of the United States and Indonesia for months at a time. He was an avid hiker, camper, mountain biker and snow boarder. He loved anything outdoors and taking pictures of his adventures.

He is survived by his Mother and Step-Father- Susan and Larry Johnston of Garden City, Father and Step-Mother- Eddie and Kathy Skipper of Clay Center, Sister- Stephanie and Randy Wildeman of Garden City, Nephews- Justin Huber and Kameron Wildeman both of Garden City, Niece- Kaitlyn and Jeremy Arbogast of Garden City, 4 Step-Brothers- Brian and Jennie Johnston of Garden City, Aaron Johnston of Michigan, Travis Cooper of Clay Center and Jared and Rochelle Cooper of Garden City, Step-Sister- Bethany and John Cinotto of Elizabethtown, North Carolina, many step-nieces and nephews, 3 Uncles- Jim Skipper of Crescent, Oklahoma, Tom Grauberger of Lakin and Ken and Penny Grauberger of Deerfield, 3 Aunts- Donna Grauberger and Peggy Holman both of Garden City and Janice Brockmann of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin and many cousins and friends around the country and world.

He was preceded in death by his Grandparents- Opal and Henry Grauberger and Mary Wriston, Aunt- Elaine Westerbuhr and his dogs- Cole and Opie.

Memorial Service will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City with Rev Jeff Starkey officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.
