Services for Adilee Laverne Antee were held Monday, June 20 in Colfax Baptist Church with Rev. James Pruett officiating. Interment was in Colfax Cemetery under the direction of Kramer of Colfax.
Adilee Laverne Antee, age 79 of Colfax, died Friday, June 17, 2005 in her residence.
Mrs. Antee worked for 37 years at Central State Hospital in various positions, culminating in the Maintenance Department, prior to her retirement in 1996. She was a member of the Colfax Baptist Church and an avid lover of all God's creatures, man or beast.
Her husband of 48 years, Frank "Britton" Antee; her mother, Evie Jowers; her son, Edwin "Beau" Antee; her daughter-in-law and life long friend, Maude Matherne, as well as host of extended families and friends preceded her in death.
Adilee Laverne Antee is survived by three grandchildren, Michael J. Antee, and wife Darlene of Schriever, Beth Ann Fisher and husband Frank and Chris Antee and wife Kate, all of Houma; one step-sister, Rella McQuillin of Ball; three half-brothers, Bennie Reeves, Dale Reeves and Bobby Reeves; two half-sisters, Claudette Reeves and Maxie; thirteen great-grandchildren; and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.
The family has requested memorials be sent to Alexandria Animal Shelter, 200 Animal Shelter Rd., Alexandria, LA 71301.
