IDA COUNTY PIONEER RECORD - Thursday, May 17th, 1962 - Mr and Mrs Martin Drenkhahn, Fred and John Drenkhahn and Miss Elizabeth Drenkhahn attended funeral services for their brother, Henry Drenkhahn, at the Lutheran church in Ida Grove on Tuesday afternoon, May 1. Rev. Alfred Pautsch officiated. Burial was in the Ida Grove cemetery with the Christensen Funeral Home in charge
Mr Drenkhahn was born to Mr and Mrs Martin Drenkhahn Sr. at Clarence, Iowa on Oct. 25, 1895. He moved with his parents to this vicinity. He married Gertrude Hamann on October 13, 1925 at Mapleton. She died in July 1950. They farmed in this vicinity until 1943 when they moved to a farm near Ida Grove, in 1961 he quit farming and moved to Tempe, Ariz., because of his health. He died Friday in Ariz.
Survivors include a son, Wayne of Tempe; a daughter, Mrs Marion Sick of Ida Grove; 3 brothers, 1 sister and 5 grandchildren. Mr and Mrs Lorn Rogge and Mrs Anna Drenkhahn were at the funeral home on Monday evening.
