Fred was the son of Martin and Lena Scheer Drenkhahn. He did not marry.

Fred E. Drenkhahn of Mapleton, died Sunday in a Sioux City Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the United Methodist Church at Danbury. The Rev Robert Pike will officiate. Burial will be in the Danbury Cemetery. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m, today in the Walter Funeral Home at Mapleton. Military Graveside rites will be conducted by Carlson-Frum Post 336, American Legion of Danbury.

Mr. Drenkhahn was born Aug 10, 1899 near Danbury. He lived in the Danbury Community where he farmed and also drove a gravel truck. He moved to Mapleton in 1972. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Carlson-Frum Post 336, American Legion and was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
