Catherine Feazell of Campti, LA was born on July 11, 1924 and made her entrance into Heaven on January 8, 2022 from Natchitoches, LA at the age of 97. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, leaving a wonderful legacy behind.

She was affectionately known as Big Momma. When she was introduced as Big Momma, some may not have understood why she was called that, but it was the nickname that endeared her to so many.

She loved fiercely and had a big heart. When she told you that she loved you, she meant it and you felt it.

She was a dedicated homemaker and made sure everyone who entered her home felt welcomed and wanted. You knew you were loved and she made sure you were fed as well. Catherine was steadfast in her faith and her love for her Master surpassed all else. She was a fervent prayer warrior, who prayed boldly and when she called on her Master, all of heaven stood at attention.

Her gift of singing was not only known by her family, friends, and church, but has reached millions with her video of everyone's favorite song "Old Time Preacher Man" – which we all believe was about Big Daddy.

Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Feazell, Jr., her daughter Pam Feazell, her daughter Jacqueline and husband Riley DuFrene, Sr., and her son in law Daniel Chance, Sr.

She is survived and blessed by her daughter Bessie and husband Donal Chance, Sr., daughter Linda Chance, daughter Claudine and husband Michael DuFrene, Sr., son A.J. Feazell, III and wife Karla, daughter Ruthie and husband Thane Shoemaker, and also 34 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren, and 46 great-great grandchildren, along with countless more who considered her to be their Big Momma.

She lived a life of ministry in pastoring and evangelizing alongside her husband of nearly 40 years. She held the first secretarial position for The Bible Tabernacle Congregation - Foundation / Bayou Land Missions. She has left a rich legacy behind, touching countless lives. She is dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Services for Catherine Feazell will be held Tuesday, January 11th at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Visitation will be from 10 am until 2:00 pm with funeral services beginning at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Nativity Cemetery in Campti, LA
