Mr. Grove was born April 27, 1867 in Piatt County, the s/o George and Catherine Anderson Grove. He had spent most of his life in Piatt County and for a number of years farmed in the Argo School District area south of Mansfield.
He leaves two brothers: Frank of White Heath; Andrew of St. James MN; and a sister, Mrs. Emily Mason of Iron Hill, Quebec; and several nieces and nephews.
