A Louisiana native, she moved to Petaluma in 1930. Five years later she came to Fort Bragg. She was a nurse for 20 years at the old Redwood Coast Hospital. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Betty Carr of Fort Bragg, and Leona Bazor of Oregon; son, Don R. Stoecker of Montana; four sisters and one brother in Louisiana; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today at the mortuary. Burial will follow the service at Rose Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, the American Cancer Society or Mendocino Coast Hospice.
