Arthur Eldredge Adams, age 89, of Woodburn passed away Friday, January 7, 2022 at his residence. The Yoakum, Texas native was born January 28, 1932 to the late Marvin Eldredge Adams and Clarice Carmen (King) Adams.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Anna Louise (Daugherty) Adams; a brother Ray Adams; and two sisters, Sylvia June Adams and Stella Louise Adams.

He was a United States Army Veteran, serving his country in the Korean War. Arthur was self-employed as a furniture upholsterer for 40 plus years. Upon retiring he enjoyed many years working at Walmart in the Hardware Department. He was also a member of The American Legion of Franklin. He loved motorcycles, working puzzles, and last but not least his dogs, especially "Buddy" his faithful companion.

His memories will be cherished by his children, Tim Quinton (Kathy), James Arthur Adams (Mandy), Laurie Jean Adams, Carmen Elizabeth Hodge (Thomas), Lora Brumley (Robert), Jerri Lynn Purkerson (Kevin); a sister, Viola Ruth Garren (Reece); a brother, Sam Henry Adams (Fay); 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews also survive.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial New Liberty Cemetery.
