DIED - At his home northwest of Farnhamville, August 6, 1892, Mr. W.H. Clutter, aged 61 years, 11 months, and a few days.

Deceased came from Washington county, Pennsylvania, and was married to Miss Sarah Freidline (sic). As a result of their marriage six children were born all of whom survive him with their mother to mourn the loss of a dutiful husband and loving father. He professed Christ at an early period in life, and had an abiding faith in His power to the last -- having repeated said that he was only waiting for the Master's summons.

The funeral services were held in the Congregational church on Sunday morning at 11 o'clock, conducted by Rev. T. W. Barber. His text was Corinthians, v chapter, I verse, "For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God -- an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens."

The family have the sympathy of the entire community

...Brother Clutter was born in Washington County Pa., Sept 5th, 1830. He moved to Anthem [Athens] Co., Ohio, late in life and in 1865 he came to Marion Co., Iowa, and in 1875 he and family came to Calhoun Co., and settled near Farnhamville, where he lived till the 6th of Aug., 1892, when he died...
