Naomi Georgianna Hern was born the only child of Frances Adeline (Kopp) Steen and David Steen on February 22nd 1910. She was raised in Milwaukee WI where she met and later married Arthur Lampman Hern on February 28, 1931. They had two children, Marshall David and Joanne Francis, who both predeceased her. She and Art were divorced on September 12, 1950. She worked for most of her career at The First Commercial Bank in Chicago IL. She spent time traveling abroad and moved to Atlanta GA after her retirement where she lived for the next 10 years. She returned to Chicago in the fall of 1997 to live near her son.

Naomi enjoyed traveling, reading and dining out (Superior White Fish was her favorite dinner and Rooty Tooty Fresh and Fruity her favorite breakfast). She was an excellent scrabble and bridge player, a whiz at cross-word puzzles and she loved to shop. She loved God and her church, choosing Lutheran Church of the Redeemer's Columbarium here in Atlanta as her final resting place.

She is survived by her six Grandchildren, her 16 Great-Grandchildren and 25 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She is predeceased by both of her children and 4 Great-Grandchildren.
