Harriett A. Kilpatrick, longtime resident of Jacksonville, joined Christ, her Savior, in heaven on December 19, 2021, in Sarasota, FL. Daughter of Charles W. Ackerman, Sr and Agnes Bauernschmidt Ackerman of Pleasantville, NY, she is preceded in death by Arthur I. Kilpatrick (spouse), Dean Kilpatrick (son and road manager for Lynryd Skynyrd), Donna K. Brechler (daughter) and Robert D. Brechler (grandson). Harriett also joins her sisters Ethel Korn, Margaret Greenwood and Adella Frost in heaven. Harriett is survived by her brother Charles W. Ackerman, of Sarasota, FL., and many nieces and nephews, great and great-great.

Harriett was born and raised in Pleasantville, N.Y., where she was valedictorian of her high school. After graduating, she worked for the renowned Readers Digest magazine, got married and raised two children. She was completely devoted to her family and faith. She was an active member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Jacksonville. One of her greatest joys was knitting hundreds of pairs of booties each year for the nursing home ministries, as Christmas gifts.

There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at 1 pm., at the Arlington Park Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL. (Florida Times Union, Dec. 27, 2021)
