Bruno Rafael Batista Neves, of Republic, MO passed away on December 26, 2021, at the age of 34 years, 8 months and 5 days. Bruno was born July 18, 1987, in Londrina, Brazil to Nelson and Lourdes (Batista) Neves.
He graduated from High School in Brazil and then came to the United States to play college basketball. He played at NEO and College of the Ozarks where he graduated with a business degree. While attending College of the Ozarks, he met the love of his life, Madison Culpepper. They were married on October 15, 2011, and they were blessed with their daughter, Ella Beth, in 2021.
Bruno loved cooking, Formula 1 racing and being around good company. Being 6'9, he had to duck under most door frames, but his laugh and charismatic personality was bigger than life itself. He was proud of his Brazilian culture and loved listening to Portuguese music all throughout his home. Above all Bruno was a family man. He was so proud to be Madison's husband and of his newest title of "Girl Dad."
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, and his mother.
Bruno is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Madison, daughter, Ella Beth Neves, father, Nelson Antonio Das Neves. His in-laws, John and Donna Culpepper, Jacob, Luke and Laura Culpepper. Several aunts, uncles and cousins, extended family and countless friends who he saw as family.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up for Bruno and Madison's daughter Ella Beth at Peoples Community Bank.
A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at North Point Church (3401 W Norton Road, Springfield, MO 65803). Funeral services will be private.
