AKERS, Bonnie B., age 83, of Dayton passed away Monday, October 30, 2006 at her home. Bonnie was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church for over 40 years and volunteered for the church missions. She was a cashier at Rite Aid in Kettering until her retirement in 2000. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde in 1968, parents, Joseph and Ellen Cornell; 3 sisters, Bessie Moore, Essie Roark and Hazel Basham and 1 brother, Joseph Cornell. She is survived by her children, Charles J. Akers (Carmen), Ellen "Faye" Gross, Dorendia Williams (Greg) and Bruce Akers; grandchildren, Jeffrey Akers (Jessica), Kristi Crofford (Steve), Kevin Gross (Carol), Leann Barnes (Earl), Kyle Gross (Lorri), Brad Akers (Karen), Lauren Miller (Justin) and Leslie Williams; 17 great-grandchildren, and other loved family members, especially her nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering at 3:00PM on Saturday, November 4, 2006 with Pastor Roger Godsey-Bell officiating. Bonnie's family will receive friends from 1-3:00PM at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial in Coal City Community Church Cemetery, Coal City, WV. In memory of Bonnie, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 320 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
