AKERS, Bonnie B., age 83, of Dayton passed away Monday, October 30, 2006 at her home. Bonnie was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church for over 40 years and volunteered for the church missions. She was a cashier at Rite Aid in Kettering until her retirement in 2000. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde in 1968, parents, Joseph and Ellen Cornell; 3 sisters, Bessie Moore, Essie Roark and Hazel Basham and 1 brother, Joseph Cornell. She is survived by her children, Charles J. Akers (Carmen), Ellen "Faye" Gross, Dorendia Williams (Greg) and Bruce Akers; grandchildren, Jeffrey Akers (Jessica), Kristi Crofford (Steve), Kevin Gross (Carol), Leann Barnes (Earl), Kyle Gross (Lorri), Brad Akers (Karen), Lauren Miller (Justin) and Leslie Williams; 17 great-grandchildren, and other loved family members, especially her nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering at 3:00PM on Saturday, November 4, 2006 with Pastor Roger Godsey-Bell officiating. Bonnie's family will receive friends from 1-3:00PM at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial in Coal City Community Church Cemetery, Coal City, WV.
