Mr. Jerry Robert Hensley, age 79 of Dayton, OH was born in Corbin, KY on May 23, 1942, to the late Alma Eugene and Opal Elizabeth Faulkner Hensley. Jerry departed this life on December 29, 2021.

He attended Landmark Baptist Church and was a US Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed his job with Shell Oil Company which he retired from in 1998, spending time working around the house, going out to eat with his wife Betty, and time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, a son: Jeremy Hensley; a daughter: Barbara Latta; a grandson: Kane Pultz; and a sister: Faye Walden preceded him in death.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years: Betty Hensley; a daughter: Brenda Hensley; 4 grandchildren: Connie, Thomas, Brooke, and Madison; 4 great grandchildren: Courtney, Reagan, Preston, and Elena; a sister: Linda Hollars; 2 brothers: Stanley Hensley and wife Doris, and Danny Hensley; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral Services for Mr. Jerry Robert Hensley will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, January 3, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Johnny Jervis officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery with family and friends serving as Pallbearers.

Friends may call at the Barbourville Funeral Home Monday from 11:00 A.M. to the funeral hour at 2.
