Peoria Heights -- Ruth Catherine Carr, 85, of Rose garden Care Center in Peoria Heights, formerly of E. Lake St., died Thursday, January 8, 2004, at Proctor Hospital.
She was born Aug. 8, 1918 in Marion, Ind., the daughter of Earl and Anna (Waggoner) Carr.
One brother, Louis Carr, of Peoria, survives. She was employed as a secretary by the Peoria County Board until she retired in 1986.
Cremation was accorded. There were no services or visitation. Burial of ashes will be in the International Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery in Marion, Ind., at a later date.
