Geraldine Mae "Geri" Abel passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 in Tulsa at the age of 82. Geri was born on March 31, 1939 in Scott City, KS to Harold and Mabel (Wheelock) Driskill. The family moved to the Collinsville area when she was a small child and it became her lifelong home. Geri married Donald Loyd Abel on February 22, 1961 and were married for 53 years until his passing in 2014. She and Don loved playing golf and enjoyed fishing. Geri enjoyed spending time with family and her loving dog "Callie." She was an avid puzzle enthusiast and a member of the Nifty Fifties group.

Geri is survived by her children, Greg Abel and wife Sheryl and Dona Lewis; 2 brothers, Don Driskill and wife Birlene and J.D. Driskill and wife Nora; 5 grandchildren, Lauren Rumsey and husband David, Nikki Abel and Colby Henderson, Darcy Barnes and husband Derek, Jennifer Lewis, and Kendall Lewis; 6 great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends. Geri was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Current Church with Rev. Jim Carney officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville.
