Mary Etta Lee Clegg, age 90, of Prattsville, died Friday March 2, 2012, in a Little Rock Hospital.
Etta was married to the late John Ethen Clegg and to this union 13 children were born. She was predeceased by her parents, Jake and Alice McCollum; and four children, Lula B. Theodis, Jerline Clegg-Morgan, and Billie Ray Clegg. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Samuel 'Sam'Dora King and Margaret Estelle Clegg; two brothers, Oneil Clegg and Benjamin Clegg.
Etta Clegg was born in Prattsville, and was a member of Davis Creek Baptist Church where she was a member of the Faithful Few Choir.
She is survived by five sons, Leroy (Katherine) Clegg, John W. (Joann) Clegg, Sr., Paul (Sandra) Clegg, all of Prattsville, Vernon (Debra) Clegg of Carthage, and Danny (Carolyn) Clegg of Benton; four daughters, Ether Johnson of College Station, Aline (Rev. Thomas) Allen, Terricia (Willis) Bailey and Cora (Supt. David) Withers all of Little Rock; one sister, Margarite Baker of Lawrenceville, Ga; 37 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
