Mrs. Ruth Sherman Arbit, 42, of 1537 Union Street, died at Ellis Hospital after a brief illness. Burial will be in Hebrew Tailors Cemetery, Guilderland. She was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, and lived in Albany for 10 years before moving to Schenectady. Survivors include her husband, Joseph, and son Harvey of Schenectady; parents Mr. and Mrs. Isadore Sherman and brother William Sherman, all of Albany.
